“I have a new (and already beloved) hoodie jacket. Alas, a couple of months passed, and the zipper was constantly jamming. So it sat in the closet for a while.
But I decided I really liked it and wanted it fixed. My wife knew about Tony's so this afternoon I took it in. Tony was doing his tailoring craft, but he immediately stopped what he was doing and came over to the counter. I told him that zipper kept jamming and did the zipper needed replacement? He instantly unjammed it, cut off a loose thread where the zipper starts, cycled the zipper once, and told me there was nothing wrong with it. He showed me that I needed to make sure the zipper end was fully engaged.
And he charged me nothing. The entire episode took less than 2 minutes.
I now suspect the loose thread was causing the jamming, and he had fixed that small maintenance task automatically because he's a craftsman. At home, I rigorously tested it several times, and it worked like new.
